Terms and conditions of participation

1. I acknowledge that i am participating in the programs offered by Active Watersports Maafushi voluntarily and at my own risk. This includes the use of their equipment. I understand and agree that it is my responsibility to thoroughly inspect the equipment before use and promptly report any defects or issues to the instructor or guide.

2. I acknowledge and accept full responsibility for any damages caused to individuals or equipment as a result of my own actions. I understand that this responsibility is in accordance with the policies and regulations set by active Watersports Maafushi and the Republic of Maldives.

3. I acknowledge and accept liability for the expenses incurred in repairing the equipment to its original condition in the event of damage caused by my own fault.

4. I acknowledge that in the event of self-caused capsizing of the Catamaran or Jet Ski, there is a fine of 50 US dollars.

5. I acknowledge that the equipment i rent and use from Active Water Sports Maafushi has a limited designated area of use. I understand that i am not permitted to deviate from the path or area instructed by the instructor or guide. I also understand that i am not allowed to visit other islands with any equipment from Active watersports Maafushi unless I obtain authorization from the instructor or guide.

6. I confirm that I am in good medical condition and not under the influence of alcohol or drugs that would impair my ability to participate in the activities offered by Active Watersports Maafushi.

7. I acknowledge that participating in the activities offered by Active Watersports Maafushi requires swimming abilities. I understand that I will be provided with a properly fitted life jacket and that the activities take place in water. I agree to participate in these activities under these conditions.

8. I agree to strictly follow orders and instructions of the instructor or guide. I understand that swimmers, snorkelers, and divers have absolute priority, and I should promptly make way for them.

9. The price for activities and rental of equipment is charge in full. I acknowledge that cancellation from my part will not release the payment unless I can provide evidence of being physically unable to participate in the activities or if very strong winds or bad weather occur. I understand that, under normal circumstance, i would not be eligible to claim a refund.

10. Active Watersports Maafushi shell not be held liable for any delays, damages, or unforeseen events or cases of force majeure, including but not limited to bad weather or lack of wind.

11. Children under the age of 18 must have written consent and a signature from their parent or legal guardian before participating in the activity.

12. By signing below, I acknowledge and accept the conditions of participation stated above. I understand that failure to comply with these conditions may result in the instructor or guide having the authority to exclude me from participating in any activities of Active Watersports Maafushi.
